Privacy Policy

CodeCX policy for website, product and checkout interactions.

This Privacy Policy explains how CodeCX collects and processes personal data submitted through the website, product enquiry and checkout flows, as well as publicly available business and professional-contact information processed by CodeCX Lead Engine.

1. Data we may collect

Name, company information, email, phone number, order/product information, support communications, technical logs and transaction references. Payment-card data should be handled by the approved payment provider rather than stored directly by CodeCX unless expressly required and secured.

2. Purposes

We use personal data to respond to enquiries, prepare or fulfil orders, provision services, provide support, prevent fraud, maintain security, comply with legal/accounting obligations, and send marketing communications where permitted.

3. Egyptian data-protection framework

Electronic personal data processing is subject to applicable Egyptian data-protection requirements, including the Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 and its executive regulations. Processing is handled according to the applicable lawful basis, transparency, purpose limitation, security and data-subject-rights requirements.

4. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, individuals may exercise rights relating to access, correction, deletion/erasure, objection or withdrawal of consent where consent is the relevant basis, and other rights provided by Egyptian law.

5. Sharing and international transfers

Data may be shared with necessary processors such as hosting, communications, analytics or payment providers under appropriate safeguards. Cross-border transfers are handled according to applicable Egyptian requirements.

6. CodeCX Lead Engine and public business data

CodeCX Lead Engine is a B2B service that helps subscribing companies find potential business customers. To do this, it collects publicly available business information from public sources, including Facebook Pages and Instagram professional (business or creator) accounts accessed through Meta's official APIs, public business listings, and company websites.

Data processed: business name, category, website, business phone and email, address, public description, and public profile statistics (for example follower and post counts). Where available, it also includes the name, job title and business contact details of company decision-makers as published by the business or by business-data providers.

What we do not collect: we do not access personal Facebook or Instagram profiles, private messages, friend or follower lists, or any non-public information, and we do not use Meta data for advertising or profiling individuals.

How it is used: the data is used only to build and score lead lists for the subscribing company. It is shown only to that company's authorised users. It is never sold and is not shared with other customers or third parties except the processors listed in section 5. Automated tools, including AI models, may be used to summarise and score a business's fit for the customer.

Retention: lead data is kept while the customer's subscription is active and is deleted within 30 days after the subscription ends, or earlier on request.

Deletion: any business or individual can ask us to delete their data at any time. Instructions are on our Data Deletion page.

We process data obtained from Meta platforms in line with the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies.

7. Retention and security

Data is retained only for the period required for the stated purpose, contractual/legal obligations and legitimate record keeping, with technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the risk.
